KLM reconnects with Mumbai after 16 years
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is reconnecting with Mumbai with the launch of triweekly connections to Amsterdam Schiphol, after a 16 year hiatus.
During the 2017-2018 winter season, KLM will operate three weekly flights to Mumbai, departing on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays.
The flight will depart from Amsterdam at 13:00 hours CET, arriving in Mumbai at 01.55 hours local time. The return flight will depart from Mumbai at 04:00 hours local time, arriving in Amsterdam at 08:45 hours CET. Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft is used for this service.
This latest addition will bring the total number of direct flights between the Netherlands and India next winter to 31 flights a week.
Jet Airways moved its flights from Brussels to Amsterdam, from where it now operates daily services to Delhi and Mumbai, only KLM operated daily services between Amsterdam and Delhi.
Jet Airways has also recently announced that it will be commencing daily flights from Bangalore to Amsterdam.
