LATAM Airlines links Lima to Rio de Janiero
LATAM Airlines commenced flights between Lima and Rio de Janiero Galaeo on 31 October, a route that was celebrated with a ribbon-pulling ceremony.
The carrier will offer four weekly flights on the 3,774-kilometre sector, with the oneworld member going head-to-head with Avianca on the South American city pair.
New flight has launched on 31 October and A319 Aircraft will be used.
"The launching of this new destination is a reflection of our constant commitment to the economic and social development of the country. We will continue improving the national and international air connectivity of Peru, because we want our customers to reach more destinations enjoying the service, quality and punctuality that portrays the airlines" said Felix Antelo, GM of LATAM Airlines Peru about the new Brazilian link.
Competition on the South American city pair comes in the form of Avianca, with the latter carrier offering daily flights on the Peru-Brazil city pair.
